The 65 Project is an American legal action initiative focused on bringing sanctions against lawyers associated with President Donald Trump who brought election challenges following the 2020 United States presidential election. It operates through Law Works and is fiscally sponsored by the Franklin Education Forum.[1][2]
The project initially targeted "111 attorneys in 26 states who were involved to some degree in efforts to challenge or reverse 2020 election results."[1:1]
Texas attorney Paul Davis described the project as "nothing more than a desperate attempt by leftist hacks and mercenaries… to neutralize anyone on the right with the ability to stand in the way of the left's efforts to hide malfeasance in the 2020 elections and to clear the path for a repeat of similar malfeasance in the 2022 mid-terms."[1:2] Another attorney, Cleta Mitchell, characterized the effort as "hypocritical."[1:3]
Personnel of The 65 Project are listed on its website, as well as in archived form.[3][4][5]
