The Creating Access to Real-time Information Now through Consumer Directed Exchange (CARIN) Alliance is an American public-private partnership based in Washington, D.C.
The CARIN Alliance was formed in 2016.[1]
On March 22, 2023, the Alliance released a report in partnership with the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) which “lays the foundation for how individuals can voluntarily digital identity proof themselves once and use that same digital credential with multiple data holders of their health information.”[2]
