Christopher R. Barron is an American political strategist and consultant based in Winchester, Virginia. He is Chief Executive Officer of Vigilant News Network,[1] and vice president of public relations for The Wellness Company and its parent company, International Health Brands.[2][3]
Barron attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1992-1995 for his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He continued his education at East Carolina University from 1995-1997. From 1997-2000, he attended the Wake Forest University School of Law.[4]
Barron worked as a summer associate at Powell Goldstein in 1999-2000.[5] He then worked as an associate/consultant at Watson & Renner from November 2001 to January 2004. He joined Log Cabin Republicans in February 2004 at age 30 as national political director, where he was instrumental in preventing the group from endorsing the re-election of President George W. Bush.[6]
In March 2006, Barron founded CapSouth Consulting, where his clients included Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the Republican National Committee (RNC), and the Heather Foundation.[7]
On May 6, 2015, Barron joined McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies as Director of Communications Practice.[8]
In November 2016, he became Director of Communications at Van Scoyoc Associates.[5:1]
Barron began working as President of Right Turn Strategies in April 2017.[5:2]
In November 2023, Barron was hired as Chief Executive Officer at Vigilant News Network.[5:3]
