The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) is a project of the Poynter Institute that collaborates with “fact-checking” organizations worldwide.
In January 2020, IFCN launched the CoronaVirusFacts Alliance in order to counter “rampant misinformation” it had identified.[1] Facebook and WhatsApp provided $2,000,000 in funding for “flash grants of up to $50,000 for fact-checkers fighting coronavirus misinformation.”
