#NotOk is a Canadian news media initiative hosted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
CBC hosted a two-day virtual forum on November 2 and 9, 2021, titled "#NotOk — Stand Up for Journalism and Democracy."[1]
On December 1, 2022, #NotOk co-hosted an event with the Carleton School of Journalism and Communication and CBC titled "Journalists and online hate: What to do when the battlefield is everywhere." The event featured CBC President and CEO Catherine Tait, Global News editor-in-chief Sonia Verma, and CTV News Ottawa bureau chief Joyce Napier. Federal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino participated in a panel discussion with Saba Eitizaz of the Toronto Star, Global Television Network’s Rachel Gilmore, and Hill Times columnist Erica Ifill.[2]
