The Widening Circle (TWC) was an international activist initiative hosted by the Tellus Institute in Boston, Massachusetts.[1]
In 2010, participants in the Great Transition Initiative (GTI) discussed the creation of “a more effective and cohesive” global citizens' movement.[2] The idea was subsequently named “The Widening Circle,” which formally launched in September 2010 by a gathering of leaders from 12 organizations.[2:1][3]
The earliest available archived version of TWC's website is Corporation 20/20's homepage.[4]
