Tools for Humanity (TFH) is an information technology company based in Berlin, Germany. It is also registered in the United States in Delaware, and has an office in San Francisco, California.[1]
Sam Altman and Alex Blania co-founded Tools for Humanity in 2019.[2]
On January 15, 2020, TFH applied for trademark protection in the United States for the name "Worldcoin."[1:1] Further applications were made in September 2021 for "World App," October 2021 for "iris hash" and December 2021 for "World ID."[1:2]
TFH launched Worldcoin in May 2023.[3]
