The Transition Integrity Project (TIP) was an American scenario planning initiative sponsored by Protect Democracy.[1]
¶ History
The TIP was convened in December 2019 by Rosa Brooks and Nils Gilman “out of concern that the Trump Administration may seek to manipulate, ignore, undermine or disrupt the 2020 presidential election and transition process.”[2]
In June 2020, TIP ran a series of simulations "exploring what could possibly go wrong around the election, and what could be done to mitigate the identified risks." A report summarizing TIP's findings was published on August 3, 2020.[3]
¶ Participants
There were "over 100 current and former senior government and campaign leaders and other experts" who participated in TIP's simulations.[4]
