Tyson Foods is an American multinational food processing company based in Springdale, Arkansas.
¶ History
In August 2021, Tyson announced that all employees were required to be "fully vaccinated" with COVID-19 vaccines by November. The company offered employees a $200 incentive to get vaccinated.[1]
Robert Barnes brought a lawsuit against Tyson on behalf of employees put on unpaid leave due to the mandate.[2]
The mandate was suspended on October 31, 2022.[1:1]
¶ Organization
Tyson's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Donnie King, represents the company as a member of the Business Roundtable.[3]
Tyson is a partner organization of Feeding America,[4] Plug and Play,[5] Share Our Strength,[6] and the World Economic Forum (WEF).[7] The company has provided funding to the World Resources Institute (WRI).[8]
Tyson makes political donations through the Tyson Foods Political Action Committee (TYPAC).[9]
