The Wikimedia Endowment is an American nonprofit charitable organization based in San Francisco, California. It provides financial support for numerous projects in the Wikimedia network, including MediaWiki, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia and Wiktionary.[1]
¶ History
In January 2016, the Wikimedia Foundation announced the creation of the Wikimedia Endowment, a $100 million fund managed by the Tides Foundation.[2]
