Astellas Pharma Inc. is a Japanese pharmaceutical company based in Tokyo.
In September 2021, Astellas paused its ASPIRO clinical trial of AT132, a gene therapy for patients with X-linked myotubular myopathy, after two participants died and a third experienced a serious adverse event.[1]
